On-campus JCC 学生s are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination and all other required immunizations to the 健康中心 to avoid academic withdrawal from all on-campus courses, financial liability, or negative impacts on financial aid status.

Students accessing SUNY facilities for any in-person classes or activities must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with limited exception. This policy includes 学生s coming to campus for academic courses, Workforce Development courses, 体育运动, 校园生活, 居住生活, 学生服务, and Sheriff’s Academy. If a 学生 is taking online coursework only and has no plans to participate in any on-campus activities or interactions, the COVID-19 vaccination is not required.

The COVID-19 vaccines and boosters are free and available through the Chautauqua County and Cattaraugus County health department clinics and many pharmacies.

With the news from the CDC and Governor Hochul’s office, masks are not currently mandated in buildings or classrooms at any JCC location. 任何员工, 学生, or visitor who wishes to continue masking for any reason may do so without question or explanation. Employees and 学生s are welcome to contact a 健康中心 for masks to best protect them from virus transmission.

All plexiglass barriers remain intact. These barriers continue to protect 学生s and employees from airborne illnesses beyond COVID-19 such as colds, 流感, and pneumonia during peak season of these illnesses.

COVID-19 testing for unvaccinated persons

At-home testing is mandatory for 学生s with medical or religious exemptions.

Testing is required the second and fourth week of each month. These tests will be provided by the 健康中心s, and results will be tracked. Students are responsible to pick up their testing kits from the 健康中心s.
